With today’s posting, I’ve just noticed that I’ve hit 900 posts since joining.
Total views is more than a million, currently standing at 1103979.
I’m sure that there are times when we think nobody is taking any interest, I’m one of those, but these figures show a different story!
100 to go to hit a thousand posts… watch this space!

Obviously quantity is irrelevant, it’s just a figure but I did find the total views interesting… staggering in fact.
However, break it down to an average per post and it’s less impressive, nonetheless encouraging.
Before someone says it, I’ll get in first - quality over quantity any day! I’ve got some good stuff, some very average and a few that I really should delete!

It’s an impressive achievement, and well deserved. Your work clearly attracts people or they wouldn’t click on the thumbnail and thereby earn a ‘view’.
I was thinking about the view numbers on POL a while back. I’ve drawn and painted all my life, chiefly as a personal thing. It’s become part of my life. Family and friends would see my art, plus people at the art clubs I’ve attended. It’s hard to quantify such views…maybe a few thousand at most until I was 78. When I joined POL about eight years ago, the number of people seeing my work skyrocketed.
It doesn’t change much, I’ve never really chased sales or commissions. Far from it. But it’s pleasing to know that people are interested enough to click on those thumbnails.
So enjoy that milestone Alan. It’s a kind of confirmation of the quality of your work that so many people have wanted to see it.

Brilliant Alan, an inspiration to us all. Following on from Lewis's comment, whist my output could never be described as prolific I wonder that if It wasn't for POL whether I would have produced as much as I have. The only ones to see my 'art ' were close family members so to now have such a wide audience is mind boggling and I'm always blown away when people take the time to look and comment on my work. Frankly I would be rather lost without POL.

Congratulations Alan, quality and quantity both. Let us know when you reach 1000.
I think I'd be lost without POL, even when not painting so much I always check in, read the Forum and see what is on the Gallery. Lewis I can quite understand why views of your paintings have skyrocketed, I just love the characters you create. There is a lot of really beautiful work on the Gallery that probably wouldn't get the viewership it deserves otherwise.
