A couple of posts have been removed by the site admins or moderators, on the grounds that they were advertising, and complaints had been made against them.
I probably saw those posts before the office staff did, and left them while I had a think - because while they were adverts, they contained no hidden messages or dodgy links. And I wasn't sure they really qualified as blatant advertising. Unfortunately - leaving them while I had a think meant forgetting about them entirely. Fortunately, PaintersOnline never slumbers, never sleeps - and the posts were removed. So apologies to POL for forgetting about the posts, and to the members who had objected to them and found they weren't speedily removed.
In future, I shall be good, I shall I shall I shall be good - but you're not to throw anything at me today 'cause it's my 70th birthday. I take it from the complaints and the decision that any commercial outfit out there seeking to use the forum to promote itself should be barred: which clears up a grey-ish area for me, as these weren't sinister posts in themselves: but companies - the place to go if you want to post on the Forum is the magazines' advertising manager.

Belated birthday wishes Robert. I agree that the adverts should be removed I did comment on one and was informed by the person who put it on that it was not an advert. I think the policy of Andy company who place a posting on the forum , should have the post looked at with a view to removal. To me it was blatant free touting for business and not paying any dues to POL or the Magazines.
