This is a non sequitur...  I should never have looked at older posts.  I was trying to find a couple of artists who were still posting digital works, but passing them as Painted.  Well, I ran across quite a long discussion about myself. Most Illuminating. I hope everyone knows, by now, that I do always mark my digital works as such. Or, that , by now, most other artists realize I do that.  I love this sight, and have always enjoyed the reparte with other artists. As I am writing this, I'm laughing at myself for being so defensive. I am currently painting a series of canvases which I will definately post for your reactions Skylar
I think your sterling reputation goes before you, Skylar.
Skylar I certainly admire your work and I respect you as and artist because you show other people respect as well.  Like everything it cuts both ways you give respect and get it back , now get out from behind the chuck wagon and get on with it buddy.
Paul, Norrette - Thank you for your kindness!! Respect is something of which I am always aware. There was a period in my life when I was under the influence of alcohol. I wasn't honest, and I didn't always treat people well, or give them proper respect.
Skylar, you are a respected artist and I have never thought anything else.
It does seem to be a feature of POL that newcomers can be treated with some suspicion, and the advent of AI has exacerbated that.  It can also take some of us a while to get used to the non-traditional approach, especially digital work.  However - Skylar, you have persisted and proved yourself; and have also educated those of us, c'est moi, to whom Artrage oils was completely unknown. I wouldn't worry about your past attitudinal problems, if we can put it that way: you think you've offended people (not here) in the past through having trouble with alcohol: well I was a party politicial agent, who occasionally hit the bottle to deal with the stress: only imagine how offensive I could be - and not always to political opponents.  "Vicious", someone called me; probably fairly.   But - that was my reaction to life at the time, that time has passed, I am now the very defintion of nice old man, and I don't do guilt.
Just adding my 2cents worth, you have always made it clear that your beautiful paintings are produced digitally, and I like others here am a great admirer. I shall look forward to your series of canvases.  Actually I support older posts being revived, because they could attract new information from and give new insights to those of us who didn't see the topic first time round. I intend to mine some older posts if I ever get time, if I feel that new information would be useful.
