I know it's been discussed before but can we amend the number of postings that any one artist can upload in a day.  I think it's currently 4 but can we change this to 2.  It seems such a shame that so many good works are relegated quickly to page 2 and beyond  and often on the same day even before we see them. I do admire those who can paint so quickly but it's got particularly bad lately.  Anyone else think the same?

Yes, I agree. Two per day at the most…one per day is actually fair I think.
I too think postings disappear in the 'other pages' all too quickly.  I would support a 2 per day limit. I can understand why people do multi postings but I think it is self defeating as boredom or indifference quickly set in when viewing the gallery thumbnails.  When I fist joined, wanted to show my back catalogue but restricted myself to one posting per day.  I think I got more attention than I would have done at 4 per day.
I think people will get more attention to their work by post one , two at the most , I tend to look the multi posting if I like them and only comment on one of them . Just lately it’s become an issue as two or three people are multi posting each day and pushing some excellent work down the pages. I’m in total agreement with you regarding the amount that can be posted , I know I and other moderators have broached the subject with the admin team before without any action been taken unfortunately.  It dies down when they suddenly realise the lack of comments on all of the work posted but very frustrating all the same .
I agree, one or two per day at the most. My last oil took over a month to complete for various reasons, so I’m not sure what I would have to do to produce four in a day!
A subject that generally causes controversy, some think 4-a-day is fine but from previous replies by members over the years, most would rather reduce it to two at most! Frankly, I’m indifferent about it at the moment, and on the few occasions that I do look on the gallery these days, I’m finding very little to interest me both in subject matter and artistic expression. In the main, the standard of the multi-posters speaks for itself, and I won’t elaborate further. That’s by no means all of the posters I might add, we still have a small, (but getting increasingly smaller), group of good keen artists, from the relative beginner to the more advanced or let’s call it experienced artist. The forum and the gallery is in desperate need of new blood - where are they I ask… As to getting the daily amount of posts allowed reduced, forget it! Its been spoken about on so many occasions in the past - it just isn’t going to happen… unless of course Warners see things differently.

Thanks Alan, that Warners still don't want to listen despite the obvious benefits to the site.

I’ve removed them Heather… I do sympathies with Tessa, it’s absolutely disheartening to see a post that you’ve spent many hours on, disappear onto page 2 within a short space of time. That’s happened to me, in fact probably all of us at some time. With reference to the new owners Warners, I need to clarify that nobody from this group has implied to me that they wouldn’t be open to looking at the idea of less postings per 24 hour period. In fact they do seem to be very interested in the long term success of this online presence, which is welcomed by all I’m sure! They probably aren’t aware of our concerns, but hopefully they will read this thread.
