I know that the Queen died, that she had several dogs, and that she was in a CGI video with the Paddington Bear (who is not a well-known character around here, which is why I was confused when I first saw the video), but, besides these things, is there any particular underlying significance to this painting? According to the internet, the dogs are still alive, so why does the painting seem to portray the Queen leaving with the corgi and the fictional bear?

Cricket......? I should doubt that Lucian plays cricket, it scarcely being a popular game in his country; I don't play or follow it either - so am not QUITE grasping whatever is teeming in Sylvia's fertile mind....
I shall now worry about this for the rest of the afternoon, until the mystery is resolved.

Do you play cricket Lucian ?....No, I do not. Why do you ask?
however, the Queen had corgis, among other dogs, all her life: a good many of them could be assumed to be awaiting her on the other side of the veil - if you believe there is another side.Yes, I do believe in the afterlife. And yes, your explanation about the corgis who passed away in the past does make sense, although the dog in the painting seems to be walking by her side instead of greeting her. What about the Paddington Bear? Did he die as well?

Now there, you have me! There was a scene set up with Her Majesty interacting with a film/TV/book character named Paddington Bear; who had a fondness for marmalade sandwiches, to which the mischievous Sylvia referred. However, quite why Paddington seemed to be accompanying the Queen into the life beyond does, I admit, puzzle me: unless he were seeing her off, perhaps.... As with so many other things, there are certain mysteries into whose shadowy realm I have no wish to tread. Incidentally, I hate cricket - however British it may be supposed to be. I am, however, fond of marmalade sandwiches - which Sylvia calls "butties", because she comes originally from the North of England and currently resides in Wales, where the term is familiarly used. I hope, Lucian, that you are less confused at this point than I am - and if you are, it says much for your high level of intelligence....Do you play cricket Lucian ?....No, I do not. The picture was done during the Queen’s Jubilee after the Paddington video was aired. It became a bit of a internet meme and people were buying framed copies, in fact my brother bought one and had it shipped to the US where he lives. I don’t believe it has any significance other than it’s a pleasant memory of HRH.
