A Japanese print I suspect so virtually no chance of identifying the artist. There’s probably a million of them out there - Japanese artists and prints such as this one! You haven’t given us any information about it, it could be an original drawing, we can’t tell from the photo… still would be an impossible task! Unless someone on here knows different!

Any Japanese speakers on the strength here?  Might tell us more than the indecipherable writing on the back.
Well the writing is in Cyrillic script, so may well be Russian. The first word is Beseda, which is something along the lines of ‘Conversation’ may be the title. Haven’t worked out the second word yet. Could it be a Japanese print, once owned by a Russian and the second word is the artists name… in Russian?

Well spotted, that man!  It is indeed Cyrillic script, on the back.  And "Conversation" would be an apt title.  It would be interesting - summoning one's inner Poirot - to discover that the second name isn't that of a Russian, but of a Japanese painter transliterated into Cyrillic.  Now there's a labour of love for someone to pursue - the only Japanese painter whose name I know is Hokusai, which isn't a LOT of help...
Not the same, but similar - Edo period, portrait of two Geisha.  Identifying the artist - yes, well: good luck!
Found this on a reverse image search - almost identical  to the one posted.

Utamaro is a name that cropped up several times in my brief search, so MAYBE we've discovered the artist (for once!).  On the other hand, the Russian letter 'P' is pronounced as a rolling 'R' - and that's the first letter of the second word..   Yes, well, everyone else, Tony, Jenny and I have done the groundwork, now off you go and solve the puzzle, based on the information given.  Points mean prizes, remember!
Bought this years ago at an antique shop. No name. Does anyone have any
