Does anyone have any idea who the above picture is by? It’s oil on canvas. Old! Bought it from an antique  shop many moons ago
No I didn’t edit it , just looked at it .
Oh, has it gone?
You painting is still there Martin on page one , I looked at it and it said that I had edited but I had not .
Oh, that’s alright anyway
Where's it gone?  I remember seeing it somewhere at around 7am, but have dropped off to sleep again since then and can't find it now.

Its still on page one of this thread.
Thanks Martin, found it now. I can't find any immediate attribution, but will have a further look tomorrow.  I've managed to have a fall this evening, and opened a vein .... much patching and swabbing: I have a blood disorder.... once the bleeding starts, it takes a long time to stop....
Okay, thanks . Hope you go get better.
I'm taking it that there's no signature on this anywhere, nor notes on the back.  Which - well, that's a problem!  I assume you've dropped it into Google and sought something similar - I hope you got further than I did...   I'll have another go later, but nothing exactly pops up and hits me in the eye as a close match.   You'd say late Impressionism, I think - there's a certain stiffness and discipline to it, which makes me think it's not French; not obviously German either; I'm drawn to a Scandinavian origin, though am not sure why.  A fascinating puzzle - I shall continue to worry at it.
Hi bud. Thanks for the reply. Closest I’ve got as someone called Henderson, though one might think it maybe a tad too old for him.  It’s well painted and I’m guessing the faces are left out as a normal trait, not lack of skill
Nearest I could find; an American Impressionist named Fernandez.  Also known as E J Cygne; he recreates belle epoch paintings, or makes studies of his own to imitate the style.  The one shown here sold for $505.00.
