Just three weeks left until call for entries to our 2022 TALP Open comes to a close. Shorter deadline this year than the previous two as the exhibitions will once again be opening with the launch of the Patchings Festival in July - exciting times! Make sure you enter for the chance to be part of it!

Just a quick query.  When measuring your TALP entries, should you measure them framed or unframed?
Unframed for entering Bobbie - just bear in mind the final framed size should you be selected for exhibition!
Dawn, I’ve entered the size of mine including the frame.  I looked under the TALP step by step guide to entering as I wasn’t sure and point no. 5 says that under step 2 ‘provide the height and width of the painting including the frame’.   ??

Me too Jenny. That’s what it says.
I haven’t entered mine as yet… in fact I’m still working on them…so I can’t comment. I believe that last year they asked for unframed sizes, whereas in previous years framed sizes. I would suggest that most of us who enter haven’t had their paintings framed at this initial stage anyway - so basically it’s guesswork if that’s what they’re asking for! I don’t imagine for one minute that anyone from TAPC would be too concerned about a discrepancy of a few centimetres!
Framed size or unframed - we don't mind! We just don't want people to go to the trouble and expense of framing before the results are in if they don't want to. I will check the instructions though....
