Apologies for all the delays in getting the award results to the successful artists. There were unexpected technical issues which only cropped up after judging was complete. The technicians worked hard to resolve the stage of the competition module that needed fixing and I have been able to progress through all the awards now.  However, there is now a complication with being able to show the exhibitions online, which wouldn't have show up until the last stage was finalised. I am so sorry for the delays but it looks like being Monday at the earliest that I will be able to have the 2024 exhibitions and highly commended works showing here on PO. I will of course extend the People's Choice voting period to compensate for the delay. Apologies once again and congratulations to all the artists who have won awards - you should all have received emails from Lucie today with the news. Dawn
I Had a lovely day at Patchings yesterday with my mum. The weather was great. Had a good look around the Artist and Leisure Painter exhibitions and spotted several POL forum names (well done all 😀), And I spent too much money…(as you do).! Many thanks for putting on such a great event.

I visited Patchings on Friday. Some excellent work on show and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Of course, as usual, I didn’t spot any POL members but I did enjoy chatting to Dawn as you can see below. Also standing next to my winning cheese! The LP winner was a beautiful little self-portrait, again seen below. Loved seeing all the members’ art and well done to all!
That's a cracking bit of cheese, Marjorie.
Excellent work Helen and Marjorie. Looks like a great day Marjorie.
Hi, All. It was lovely seeing some of you who visited the show - Marjorie, Anjana and Helen to name a few. After a somewhat hectic time I am pleased to say that the exhibitions are now live! Here is the link https://www.painters-online.co.uk/competitions/talp-open-2024/gallery/ I am hoping to get the first link redirected to The Artist category and I am still working on the link from the gallery page, but the main thing is we're live!
it was great to see the exhibition at Patchings on Friday; Sorry I missed you Majorie, but I did see your painting! Lovely to see it in the flesh and very well done on your award, well deserved. Among some of the other familiar names from POL were the lovely works by Jenny Harris, Martin S Taylor, Heather Love, Sarah Crouch, Alan Bickley,  Diana Boanas and Helen Martell. It was really nice to meet you too Dawn. Such a great day out; I love the whole event!

I have enjoyed viewing the online exhibition. So many wonderful paintings!
I really enjoyed looking and have cast my vote in each category.
Congratulations to Marjorie and Alan. Lovely photos of you Marjorie and Helen, well I missed you both too! The festival is so big, you can easily go round without paths crossing. It was lovely to meet the POL team. The exhibition is amazing and it was great to see familiar names from here and your fabulous art in real life.
All the winners are very clever little devils!  Some wonderful work - wish I could get to these things, but ole rocking chair's got me.
