Drawing with pen, line & wash
Avoid common pitfalls:
Don’t overload your pen, it will create blobs and you won’t achieve a flowing line.
Acrylic and Indian ink can clog up a nip-in nib pen as well as damage your brush, keep a clean jar of water handy and use it regularly.
Use a decent quality and weight of paper to draw on, there’s nothing worse than adding a wash only to see the paper cockle.

Now this is what I need Alan!
I only had to read the second sentence and I’ve learned something valuable already.....keep a jar of water to rinse the nib/brush, I never do that. I usually just wipe the nib on a piece of rag and only rinse when I’ve finished but I’ll do as you say from now on, because it does get sticky eventually. Great tip thank you.
Your article will be a good guide to keep hold of, and close by when delving into nib and ink, a bit trickier to use than pens.
A good starting point for beginners also, to have concise information and no confusing waffle. I know you don’t do waffle!
Looking forward to learning more.
