I was also curious about the one of the oak as it appears to have a different signature.  A Google search came up with this - similar style but different artist.

Well I had myself convinced it was by the same artist.  The internet isn’t always reliable so it’s easy to make these mistakes.  I’ve done it before and I’ll do it again.

Hmmm, now I’m confused! It certainly is the signature of Peter Barker, who is both artist and gallery owner, but I’m sure I saw one by John lines. Will have another look - apologies if wrong. Definitely wrong- sorry folks, nice painting though!

It’s very confusing as often work from one artist appears a the work another artist you are researching, it something that I have a problem with when looking at work for this series of threads . I looked up Peer Barker as seeing the painting of the tree , only to have three artist of the same name pop up, I like  that tree painting and will use Peter Barker as this Wes bonus artist if Jenny doesn’t mind as she found his work .  I will d posting the new list of artists this evening all being well.
