Love the still life Jenny.
I’m going to post this early as we will be heading out early tomorrow. John Lines RBSA RSMA  John was born in Rugby Warwickshire in 1938. He studied art at Rugby Polytechnic from 1959 and at York School of Art from 1960-61 and has been exhibiting his work since then, while initially also working in industry. His paintings both in oil and watercolour are distinctive and beautifully painted, many of them with great humour. His stated aim is to ‘simply paint through honest eyes’. He has painted many British countryside scenes, and some of my favourites are his allotment paintings with their humorous titles. For anyone who has struggled with the challenges of allotment growing, these will surely make you smile! He also likes to paint urban scenes and maritime subjects.  Hope you like my selections. Ginger Tom Trouble. Beans For Dinner Heading Home.
I like these a lot Tessa - both the style and the humour. Gave me a smile this morning. The man on the bike is priceless! Reminded me of Sylvia’s take on things.
There's a sort of gentility to his art, especially with his allotment paintings.  Here are a couple of his works that appealed to me, Lambing Storm and Shed Makeover.
I do like his work , he is one of the artist that I have admired for quite a long time , a selection from me , it’s difficult to choose just a few from so many excellent paintings.
Love ‘Heading Home’ - the man on bike with his dog - although prefer his more colourful paintings of the countryside, especially the first one Paul has posted above, and this one with its impressionistic style.

I like his paintings very much.  In some cases his figures have a caricature feel...not a problem for me...another fine artist.
A few more from me Redundant Power. Blasted Brussels. Milford Haven Arrival.
Tessa, I do like your choice of  the 'Redundant Power' painting of the train in a field.

I thought that would appeal to one of you train enthusiasts!
A few of his more traditional works before this disappears.
I'm impressed with the first of Tessa's latest selection.  This artist has a fairly loose style, which I like, but at first glance I thought that magnificent oak tree might be by another artist.  It isn't, I had another look on my larger desktop screen, and it does show his touch.  A good find Tessa.  Thanks for doing the post.
