Anna Dillon, born in 1972, is a British landscape artist who spent the early years of her life in Wiltshire before moving aged 7 to Oxfordshire.  She studied illustration at Falmouth  School of Art and was a graphic designer for over 16 years before deciding, in 2010, to become a professional landscape artist. For most of her life she has lived in South Oxfordshire on the edge of the Berkshire Downs.  Absorbing the life and countryside in her home counties has profoundly influenced her interest in chalk landscapes and she is especially interested in ancient landscapes and prehistory. Her vibrant, colourful paintings are inspired by the ancient landscapes of the British Isles and Ireland, and her work is divided into series by county, building a collection of paintings of special places of interest from each location. She has developed her style using bold colour to reflect the contours and light of the land, and her paintings are built up gradually using thin layers of oil paint.

Thank you for the excellent introduction Jenny and the superb selection of her paintings, I will have a good look at what’s on line .
What an interesting style of painting! So unusual, and these landscapes that Jenny has posted really are excellent!
Her work is fascinating, different and very stylish. I will look and choose some tomorrow.
No surprise that she was a graphic designer.  I have great interest in artists who see things differently, and this artist certainly does.  Lovely work.
Quite difficult to choose as she has so many lovely paintings, but here are a few I picked out
Unusual and beautiful work, I wonder what the dimensions might be?
Russell, the sizes are shown on her website, they do seem to vary quite a bit.  A couple of photos of her in her studio to give you some idea.

Another - this one is of Rhossili Bay on the Gower Peninsula in Wales.
So different.   I like these a lot.
There's an almost classic oil among these - of Glastonbury Tor, I think: saw it long ago, but am neither New Age nor modern concert-goer.  Very different from the other work shown - I suspect this artist can do just about anything she has it in mind to do.  Would you have guessed that all of these were oils?  I certainly wouldn't: I'd have had 'em down as acrylics; I'd be fascinated to learn how she gets these effects in oil paint: I don't suppose she demonstrates anywhere, do we know?  I'd really like to watch her at work.
