Tessa has it spot on , his work is fun and entertaining and it’s that simple ingredient that has made it appealing for me.  Some excellent examples posted of his work , I’ve looked on line and decided not to select any as I can’t decide which ones I particularly like, just enjoying what been posted already.
The humour and  the skill in these is wonderful.
Sir Henry George Rushbury KCVO,CBE,RA 1889 - 1968. Was an English painter and etcher.  Born the son of clerk in Harbourne then  on the outskirts of Birmingham, Rushbury studied on scholarship at the Birmingham School of Art from the age of thirteen. He worked as an assistant to Henry Payne, chiefly as a stained glass artist until 1912, when he moved  London where he shared lodgings with fellow student aGerald Brockhurst.  Rushbury was an official.  war artist in World War One and took up etching under the influence of Frances Dodd, before studying briefly under Henry Tonks at the Slade School of Art in 1921. Information from Wikipedia   I hope you enjoy my selection of his work, I particularly taken by his etchings .
Amazing artwork Dixie, especially his buildings! Here’s another you will like.
Astonishing detail in his drawings.  I'm liking his maritime work best, although it's all good...apart from that Constable poster.  Doesn't look like his work, as is pretty dire.
I also thought the poster was different and maybe not his? But then found this  Apparently he painted quite a few posters which do have a different flavour to his other work.

I wasn’t sure about the Constable poster , but as it came from a legitimate source I took it as genuine . It’s possible that the outer were deliberately designed to look different and to fit with the style of posters used by the railway companies etc. I sure Lew and Jenny will know more about that than I do . It’s his etchings that fascinated me the detailing and skilled  drawing is amazing.
I like his railway posters, although not so much the John Constable one which, as Tessa has confirmed, is one of his ….  Here’s another ….
