Welcome to this weeks bonus artist thread, I chosen artist this weekend is : Andy English born in 1956 is an English wood engraver and educator who pioneered the use of the internet to teach a wider audience wood engraving and how to do it. Born in Denver a small town in Norfolk, he studied geology at the University of Reading and taught in. Cambridge from 1979 to 2006. Self taught as an artist , he drew and painted since childhood, in 1991 he started to engrave on endgrain wood , this quickly became his main artistic output.  While studying for a Master of Art Degree at the University of London in the early 1980s Andy researched the use of online information systems .  He was an early user of the internet in Britain and always the educator he developed a Website that explained how wood engravings were created. Bio via Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy my selection of his work .
Excellent and clever work Dixie. I especially like the first two, and the one of his desk with view of the garden beyond. Also I like the way he has let the design in the second spread beyond the rectangle.
Lovely work - some more
A few more from this artist .

I especially like that last one Dixie, but they are all excellent- such skill!
I agree the last one is really good, can’t say that I’ve had a favourite as yet , I do like the boats and church second from last , but then it’s boats so I would. I’ve never been a great fan of woodcuts but I do like to see a good and well made ones and he produces a lot of them and as said very skilled work .
They certainly are all superb engravings.
I really enjoy looking at the skill demonstrated in media I’m unfamiliar with.
