Welcome to this weekends bonus artist my choice this weekend is :
Tony Wooding , born in St Asaph in 1969 is a wildlife artist who lives and works in North Wales . On leaving school he was asked to a small wildlife commission for a local gallery, which lead him to turning professional and selling his originals in galleries throughout Wales .
I hope you enjoy my selection of his paintings.

Some aren't going to like his detail - some (though no one here!) will coo "ooh, it's just like a photograph!", and assume they've given a compliment. I can take detail or leave it, don't have the eyesight to do it this well assuming I ever had, would probably prefer less pin-point accurate images if pushed to admit it, but never mind all caveats, this is high quality work, I imagine it sells like hot cakes, and am envious.
The two dog paintings are less hard-edged, and the better for it in my opinion. The topmost one is glorious, and I don't think you have to be soft on dogs to find it so (though I am).

The degree, or we could call it level of skill required to produce work like this is phenomenal!
I like a good deal of these posted, the first landscape in particular.
On a personal level, I’ve never aspired to paint like this, which I couldn’t anyway! I’m more inspired by the work of Fred Cuming and John Piper to name just a couple…but I can appreciate most art…almost!
