Yes, I certainly agree this artist paints everything well...people, trains, buildings whatever.  He was unknown to me, certainly a great find, Dixie.
Whilst I can appreciate his undoubted watercolour painting skills, I found and prefer a few of his oil paintings which are just more my thing.
Next weeks artists are Lee Krashner and Francis Hamel I will open the thread on Sunday evening.
Hi Paul. Are we starting with Lee Krasner on Sunday? If so, I need to get my act together tomorrow ;-)
Yes Martin , the first artist names is usual the lead into the week . You don’t have to post it Sunday as technically the thread starts Monday morning but it’s easier fore me to post it Sunday evening.  That is  why we change Wednesday lunchtime so that both artists feature for two and a half days .
Paul/Jenny… have we showcased Trevor Chamberlain? I’m sure that we must have done but if not, I’ll introduce him…
I will check on the list Alan and get back to you .
Paul/Alan, we looked at Trevor Chamberlain in week 77, about ten months ago.  (Also noticed that we’d already featured John Yardley, at the end of January, but no-one seemed to notice - I thought I recognised one of his paintings, but we’ve looked at so many different artists in some of the ‘open’ weeks that it’s often hard to recall just where we have seen a painting!  Still, it’s often good to revisit artists.)

Time I had a new head I think .
New head, new eyes, new hips, new knees - I need them all, but sadly - apart from a cataract op, which I've had, and new hips - which I haven't: and I'm not keen on being hors de combat for several months, never mind the pain - I'm making do with my initial allocation.  In my opinion anyway, you're doing very well with the head you've got, and having introduced the longest running thread ever on POL, I think you can be proud of your achievement.

You're doing a grand job Paul. I haven't looked into all of the previous threads, so, for me, repeats are welcome!
Thank you folks your kind comments mean a lot , having a bit of a rough time at the moment hence not concentrating etc. It’s so nice having the pol family ,been positive I was so cross with myself for the mistake bit of a trait much like when a make a mistake when painting it sticks out . Any enough of this let’s get a few more paintings up on display.
