Wellcome to the bonus artist thread for week 63 the featuring artist is Jeremy Paul, Wildlife Artist. Jeremy Paul was born in Accrington in Lancashire in 1954, he has a very successful career in Marine Biology before becoming a professional artist. His interest in art began after obtaining a Doctorate for Research and whilst living in Spain and on a remote island off the western coast of Scotland. In the 1980s his career in art developed even though he was now leading authority on shell fish reproduction and leading a professional team in Scotland. I hope you enjoy his superb paintings, he is one of the artist that I only discovered recently whilst researching for this thread.
These are excellent bird paintings Paul. Someone else I had never heard of. Thanks for finding Him.
This artist is new to me as well.  Such beautiful work, especially his bird paintings.  Was interested to read that he works in acrylic, developing a painting in many layers of paint with extensive use of underpainting and glazes.

His work is absolutely stunning, the detail is amazing. I really like the owl paintings you chose Jenny.
Wow this artist really is fabulous. His birds are a triumph! I love the detail of the wooden doors and rusty handles and hinges.. Can’t say that Upi had heard of him but I do recall the stamps!
I also love his owls! Very good choice again, good to see.
Skill beyond comprehension almost! I like his birds, but I like his backdrops even more… exceptional!
Just amazing....fabulous. AND from Lancashire.
I’ve been out working in the garden since just after nine this morning, is so nice to come Ito the shade and read all the nice comments about his work . I do like the birds and the detailing is quite unbelievable, like Alan in really drawn to his backgrounds they are stand alone paintings themselves, the rust and old wood on the door is superb.
Fine examples of what can be done in acrylics - if you're very, very good.
Incredible work, what a find.
Superb paintings. Such detail-really like the one with cobweb that Jenny found.
