What joyful paintings.
I thought I had made a mistake then I realised Ann’s excellent artwork is in the wrong thread but that’s no problem . The first four are ones she did for the NHS.
Lovely selection Dixie: some very tranquil paintings.
Yes, sorry, I jumped into the wrong thread - well, it WAS Jones, what else do you expect? Indeed, Anne did a lot of work for the local hospital  - in the public corridors, places where people need to see a bit of good but accessible art - and was not entirely pleased when workmen fitting out one of the rooms there put dowels straight into one of the murals in order to support shelving; I noticed it while doing a tour of inspection of the hospital on behalf of either the old Community Health Council or other body; but thought it best not to tell her.  However - she found out.  A certain chilly disappointment was expressed..  All that work, which you can see for yourselves, and Fred and George thought "bang a few nails in, won't hurt: it'll look pretty behind the lever arch files": but in fact - I blame a manager.   Well done to those who found other pictures to show of her work: I made the mistake of trying to get them from her website, which was rather well protected by whoever built it: so I gave up after showing three.  One of Anne's mentors was the late Victor Voysey, R.A., whom I had the pleasure of briefly meeting at one of her exhibitions - so the torch gets handed down through generations.
A skillful and varied artist, the 'NHS' paintings look to be in a different style.  Much to be admired.  I like the last of Dixie's election above...the birds...swallows I think.  Another fine artist.
Beautiful work by this artist Robert and the painting of the sand in the introduction is just incredible. The variety of colour she demonstrates in the sand is really an excellent reflection of her skill. A wonderful artist.
