This is what I found. This is the other Anthony Green

Well sleuthed Jenny.  I'd looked at (our) Anthony Green's website, no mention of his death, but you can't be certain how up to date some of these sites are. I think can can assume 'our' Anthony Green is still at it.  (Great!).
Jenny you are a star , your maiden  name wasn’t Homes by any chance it’s good to have it cleared up.  I also find the shapes of his canvases unease on the eye, and have to look at different angles then try to picture it together maybe it just my eye sight or my brain doesn’t function like his.
No, definitely no sleuths in the family!  I didn’t know I had this compulsion until we started the Artistic Inspirations thread - it is satisfying, though, checking things out.

I’m so glad you do check thing’s  out as it’s so easy to make a mistake. You can be our official scrutiniser , I certainly need someone to keep me on track , I hope you continue to enjoy researching and correcting mistakes. Maybe we should have a look at the other Anthony Green at some stage .
If anyone's interested, here's a link to a youtube 1987 video on Anthony Green...he's interviewed by Melvyn Bragg.  In it, we get to see the back of many of his paintings, showing the construction of his odd-shaped canvasses. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lurnRVoxm4&ab_channel=SteveHaskett
Thanks Lew I  will take a look at that .
I have seen the video Lew it’s really interesting to hear the artist described his work, certainly has been some discussion about his work this week . Next weeks artists are Wilfred Bell and Stefen Luchian . Week 41 Ray Blackwell and John McCombs Week 42  James Fletcher - Watson  and William W Gosling. I will open the new thread early Sunday Evening .  I would like to close this week by asking for more names and to say a thank you all for participating making it a really interesting thread.  Remember you don’t have to be a expert or one of those odd creatures a art critic to have an opinion about a painting just say it as it appears to you .
Paul, I do have more names, although have suggested quite a few already.  If you need more - Jonathan Wolstenholme, Shirley Trevena and Peter Gray.
Thanks Jenny I will add them to the list , there are quite a few con there but more are always welcome .
I watched the YouTube video about Anthony Green and it’s well worth a watch, if only to celebrate the eccentricity of the artist and his works. Good recommendation Lew.  According to Wikipedia he is still alive and working, but sadly his wife Mary Cozens-Walker (an artist in her own right) who featured in some 600 of Green’s works,  died in 2020.

Andrew, glad you enjoyed the video about Anthony Green.  Eccentricity is the word, but I find his work very interesting and different.  I'm pleased he was chosen for the thread.  In art, as in most things, variety is welcome.
