I will add your name Martin and let you know the week before .
Sorry fro not saying earlier who next weeks Artist’s are , it’s been one of those weeks rushing about and forgetting things.  Next we featured artists are Richard Thorn and Peder Mork Monsted. I will open the thread on Sunday evening as usual. Have a good weekend.
You're doing a grand job, Paul, and the odd slip of memory is forgivable. If it's any consolation: this morning, I clean forgot the name of someone I've known for ten years and see nearly every day; and last week I very carefully made out a cheque in my very best handwriting - and entirely forgot to indicate who the payee was supposed to be.   Senile decay, though in my favour, I did work out why my scanner wasn't recognizing my computer - with minimal help from HP's idea of online "help".  I presume I used up all of my currently available brain-cells on working that out, and had none left for later.....   I do think, though, that ageing is a mistake.........

What was the problem?
Drivers out of date - but the help page didn't suggest this was the issue, and got me to instal an app which did nothing at all, until I worked out that I really needed just to re-instal the printer. The other problem of course is that I'm 72 in November - born long before computers became everday items in everyone's home: I have to concentrate twice as hard as younger people who were born with them.
Oh, I can definitely relate to this to some degree. I've noticed that the older I get, the less interested I become in catching up with the latest technology. Stuff like VR (virtual reality) headsets, cryptocurrencies, NFT (non-fungible tokens), and even recent video games doesn't seem to have any appeal to me or just seem too difficult to understand, while back in the day, when computers and smartphones first appeared, I used to be fascinated with learning about them.

I'm still interested in computer technology - and over the last ten years or so I've learned a lot.  But - but - all the same; learning about the latest tech takes me so much time - because it doesn't come naturally to me - and the moment I've learned, it seems to go out of date.... which is - frustrating!  It doesn't help when the young people I ask for help get frustrated and say "But I've told you this before!".  And yes you have, children: but what you have NOT done is to tell me how to REMEMBER it.  I could teach you a lot, if you were interested, about so many things; and I'm grateful, genuinely, for what you're trying to teach me: but don't resent my slowness ... you try learning some of the things I know, and see how far you get; you try reading some of the thousands of books I've read over 60 years or more; put your knowledge of life against mine - and see if you STILL think you're so clever.   To be fair - most young people are easily intelligent enough to understand this, and wouldn't hesitate to ask for my help for problems outside of their own experience - those who are arrogantly self-satisfied, on the other hand, deserve appropriate punishment with stinging whips and nettles.   Though I'll still ask them for help when I need it.
