Well here we are at the end of another week and some week it has been too.  This weekends  bonus artist is David Howell RSMA. David was born 1939 and works out of his North Yorkshire studio, he predominately paints landscape and maritime paintings and occasional equestrian paintings of horse racing. He is well know among collectors for his Middle Eastern scenes. I hope you enjoy his work as much as I have since discovering him a few weeks ago, it hard to choose favourites as I like all his work particularly so I have gone for a selection. Most unfortunately I wax not able to find any equestrian paintings hopefully one of you will come up trumps.

Hadn’t seen any of his work before - I love his watercolour style and the colours he uses, his paintings are quite atmospheric.  I especially like the last one above, Paul.  (Which artists are you featuring next week?)

Sorry forgot to say next weeks artists are Constable and Moira Huntley . I will set up the thread on Sunday evening sorry for the short notice Alan and Jenny .
I like this artist, new to me also but has produced some excellent work. I’ve selected a couple which feature my favourite boats - spritsail barges! Constable it is then on Monday morning, I’ve made a start on some text.
DH is a lovely artist and I do like those misty country scenes. I found a few equestrian watercolour paintings and the one of trawlers at Padstow  which is an oil.
An excellent artist - new to me aswell and enjoying seeing his work.
It’s quite rewarding when introducing a artist that is not well known and their  work is liked . A few more of his excellent paintings.

Wonderful watercolours.
Lovely watercolours thanks for introduction.
A wonderful watercolour artist, I also had not come across him before. Street in Ghanareo, Rajasthan. Beaters and Dogs, Stearsby, North Yorkshire.
Quite a range of work, but a great choice of 'unknown' artist.  I particularly like the sunset and pier, and the street in Rajasthan.  I would not have thought they were by the same hand.
