My brother played the euphonium and when I was younger, I thought it looked like an elephant's head. It also sounds like an elephant. This painting certainly reminds me of my brother. I think I would hang it on my wall.
Salvador Dali 1904 - 1989 I don't think Salvador Dali needs an introduction from me as I'm certain that everyone here is more than familiar with his work. I guess he's remembered as much for his rather eccentric personality as for his work which I'm sure will divide opinion. I don't possess the intellect to even attempt to interpret the Freudian theories about dreams and the subconscious mind that are often themes in his paintings, but it has never prevented me from simply marvelling at the iconic imagery he has created throughout his life and the sheer technical brilliance of the man.
