Although I’m not particularly a ship person, I do admire that subtle change of blue in the 4th one of Lew’s.
Love the card design Lewis has posted.  Not generally keen on his other work, but quite like this one for its bold composition and colours.

Just love his paintings of sailing barges.
I do, too. Particularly the one that Jenny posted.  Can feel the weight of the sail.
There's a real treasury of work here - to choose a favourite might be a little ... crass, perhaps.  But, I will!  Of all of them, the painting of that graceful ship, the Ruahine, does it for me: I've always appreciated these older ships, certainly by comparison with the way they build them now: the sweeping lines, and the strength and bulk combined.  And Morton - known locally as "Cavey", by the way - caught that completely.
I really find his paintings pleasing having an interest in ships. I like the older ships. I boarded the Colombian Flag ship Gloria, when she was in Liverpool, she is a three mastered barque. Built in Spain in the 60's but I had the feeling I was walking around a ship from the 18 hundreds. The street view posted by Tessa is just wonderful.
Glad you like that one Denise. It’s my favourite- such a quirky view. I love the sound of your Gloria. The Gloucester Tall Ships festival is this weekend and I’d love to see that, but not sure we’ll be able to.
One more before he disappears.
Nice one to finish with Tessa , next week’s featuring artists are Lillie Seika Jones and Kevin Sinnott ?
