I'm glad you've featured Russell Flint's work Paul because he was such a superb watercolour artist - definitely a master of the medium. Sometimes I'd prefer the paintings without the languid nudes, but I often find myself just looking for ages at images of his paintings - in awe of his talent, and trying to learn more about his technique.

Some of Flint's landscapes achieve the Turneresque level of expression. I find his nudes unexceptional. Yes, you see the technique, correct proportions, correct values, etc. My theory is that the nudes were mostly a commercial project. With his technique they  were "easy" to do.
