I decided to take out the year one off direct debit Studio Plus membership. I received an email that I found difficult to fathom out. The Direct Debit is showing, but ni money taken as of yet. Nor any indication of when it will be.  So I have no idea what issue of the magazine I will get as my first issue and I actually have no idea if I'm even a member. The email suggests there's a members button to press. Not for me there isn't. I'm hoping I don't have to wait to long for my membership to kick in. I sent an email asking what issue I would recieve etc etc, but have had no reply, just lots of emails suggesting I become a member. Is there any kind soul out there can answer my questions please.  I'm 74 (today) and work mainly in pen, ink and watercolour. Really looking forward to being part of this community.  Julie
Welcome to this art community Julie, you’ll find plenty of help and advice should you need it. I’m not sure what the status of your subscription is, but can I suggest that you email [email protected] They will check it out for you. As for which magazine… well, from the March 2025 edition, both the Leisure Painter and The Artist have been combined into one bumper edition, albeit they are separated within the magazine. So that’s what you’re going to receive…
Hi Alan Thank you so much for that. I will email that address. Thanks for the info. Julie
Hi Alan All sorted now and I'm up and running. It seems my account had duplicated itself and admin sorted that out. Thank you for responding and helping me so quick. Julie
Excellent, there is a lot of good info on the website, so explore it and start to participate when you feel able. By participate, I mean post some of your work on the gallery, and  bring up any art related discussion on the forum as and when you want. I also use a lot of pen and ink in my illustrations, sketches etc, you can check out my gallery by searching my name!
Welcome Julie , hope you soon find your way around the forum and gallery.  Do join in the discussions and the challenges etc , it makes it more fun to be involved and interacting with the other members.  As Alan has already mentioned don’t be afraid to ask how thing work and of course any art  related questions you may have , there is a wealth of knowledge on the site and often someone will know where or how to get and specific information you may be searching for. Last but not least do put some paintings or sketch’s on the gallery it’s a really good way to introduce yourself and get feedback on your work , I know it’s all a bit overwhelming at first but you will soon be popping in and out of both the forum and gallery.
Thank you so much Paul. That's so kind and very welcoming.  I've always been to scared to join an online art group. Today's been great. I'm finding my way around, even put two pictures up. Alan helped me last night to get my membership up and running. I've had nice feedback on my artwork. I feel good. I have severe fibromyalgia and at times can feel very despondent about things. Today I have felt part of something. So thank you for you kind words. Julie
Hi Julie ,welcome those are two nice pics on the gallery, well done you.  Have a do at the May challenge here on the forum, Paul has posted a list May challenge.   I noticed you stated your age……lol. Sorry you are but a child.

Thanks Sylvia, for positive comments on the pictures. I have been drawing quite a few lighthouses. I was born on Portland. They are fun to draw. I will seek out this challenge. I'm still trying to navigate around the site at the moment .
Hi Julie and welcome. I’ve just posted comments on your gallery pieces and look forward to seeing more.
Hi Tessa, I've just read them thank you. Everyone is so nice on here. I've only joined a few days and I already feel part of an art community. I will join the monthly challenges as well once I've orientated myself around the site a bit more. Julie x
