Hello everyone
I'm Susan. I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself.
Difficult isn't it?
I've been painting on and off for 23 years. Originally I was in my early 40s and thought it might be a career. Hah! Now I just paint for myself and I am enjoying myself much much more. Painting is one of the four things I most enjoy. The other three are piano playing, gardening and training for triathlons. Bit of mixture but there you go. Watercolour has been my favourite medium from the start, followed by pastels, oil sticks and mixed media. I can't do portraits, but love landscapes and am trying hard to paint en plein air as much as possible.

Welcome to POL Susan , we are quite a friendly bunch and willing to offer advice, critique and support when wanted .
There are some very experienced, talented artists, cover all the mediums so whatever you are doing there is someone who can’t advice etc . A lot of us have been painting for quite sometime so its a knowledgeable when it come to materials, techniques , tools etc. l like the two painting in your gallery , both are painted really well, do join in the discussion that are going taking place on the forum, it’s also a good place to get to know others .
