Not a word to Alan, mind! You'll recall that he recommends Belle Arti boards; and you may also recall my assuring him that I will try them.   I picked up an older painting the other day, and glanced at the back - it's an acrylic - around four years old, I think; and - it's on a Belle Arti panel.  I've been using them without realizing it, and of course Alan is absolutely right, they're among the best boards I've used.  I've painted on them, I discover, in both oils and acrylic - and why I ever switched to other brands, I don't know: availability from the different stores I've used, probably: I do tend to hop like a magpie between different providers.   Alan is also right that they don't warp, or his and mine haven't, anyway.  You're not to tell him, he'll think me senile.  And - he'd be right.
Well somebody did tell, so here I am… I did say how good they were, and now you know why I’m always recommending them - a bit more expensive perhaps, particularly the linen covered range, but you get what you pay for, as the saying goes !
Definitely, great boards and thanks Alan for telling us, as a result have been using them for a couple of years
