A very good first attempt, can I suggest that you put in on the gallery where more people will see it. It will help if you can give more information, what medium, size and if it’s on paper or canvas etc. You could leave it here for critique as you have done but I do really think you might get a better response on the gallery, no matter what it’s your choice and your painting and it’s for you to make the decision. Look forward to seeing more of your work. It would also be nice to know a little more about you .

Well it was only 3 days ago, so give 'em time. As to whether you're down a rabbit-hole, Slyvia me duck - I shouldn't be a bit surprised! Oh, but you said it's not you that's down the hole - damn; should have noticed....
Anyway, there are worse places to be, provided we're talking metaphorically - that's a message to Sam: a rabbit hole is not where he should wish to be.
It does puzzle me a bit, when people post something, and then, having asked for a response, vanish into the ether - how did they find us; why did they find us; what were they looking for? But it's early days yet - Sylvia, you're an edge-of-the-seat, let's hear from you NOW sort of person; others of us, eg, moi, have learned the great virtue of patience; of waiting; of serenely sitting back and allowing life to unfold in its own, stately way... Unless of course you owe me money - then I suddenly snap into instant reaction mode, and reinforce it with whips and scorpions. Though you're not to think me mean.
Even though I am. Anyway, all waffly twaddle aside, perhaps our poster will post their next oeuvre shortly. We can but wait, agog.

It shows up on the first page of results for many art-related keywords if you add the word "forum" or "forums" to them. Whoever is taking care of the site's SEO is doing a pretty awesome job.
