The Victor Harbor Rotary Art Show is the second largest in Australia with 1,600 entries and a first prize of $10,000 au and many other substantial prizes. This year was a record breaking year for sales. I was fortunate to sell all three of my large paintings which are posted on my gallery site. To sell one painting is rewarding but to sell all three is absolutely amazing. So take heed all you struggling pastellists, persevere, dont give up. I was once a struggling amateur pastellist and now sell on a regular basis and even have repeat buyers. You need to promote yourself and get your name known. I organise workshops from interstate and overseas artists and this is a good way to become known.
