February 2012......snow covered ground..watching my little girl sledge with her Grandad made for some awesome photo's and a couple of drawings..... I have been drawing for as long as I can remember copying characters I loved as a child and then developing my own as I got older and then to sketches of anything and carrying paper and pencils everywhere. .....I get the photo's home and look at the bright pinks of her all in one suit and the deep greys of a snowy day and I really want to pull colour into what I have sketched and so my wife dusts off her water colour kit from her school days and what follows are some hideous attempts at first paintings!!! :-) January 2013..... Here I am. Addicted to painting / drawing almost a year on and with definite improvement through self taught techniques and books and youtube video's. I have never ventured near a class...not through lack of want to but because nothing in my area seems to offer much unless you can give up a lot of spare time. I have two small children now and this time isn't available to me. I am lucky enough to have found a club in my local area and have been invited to join them which I will do. I am still very much a beginner but through this site and the Art Society in my local area I hope to improve to new and better things. Wish me luck.
