Simple figures through geometric shapes

SUNDAY DRAWING CLASS-6 This is our sixth week and our sixth Sunday Drawing Class. Little by little, we are learning to understand the different kind of lines and simple shapes and how to use them. If the foundation of a house is robust, then it survive for centuries. The initial draft of some lines which we draw, starting is the base of a good art-work. This is called Sketch. This is the first step to transform a three-dimensional world to a two-dimensional space. But we do not give much attention to this matter. We just do a sketch and put color or shade. If we try to look into the matter, we find out that Great artists around the world do a lot of sketching. Why? Because if you make a defective sketch, it will not matter how well you put colour or shades in that. In today’s tutorial, we try to find out the geometric shapes from real photographs. And then try to create simple figures. Remember Not the real like just simple figure. Watch the video to understand how to do it. https://www.youtube.com/attribution_link?a=6KKj_M6q4r0&u=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D2dGqrfJx-K4%26feature%3Dshare … 1. Select some pictures from newspapers or magazines. You can use a photo copy too. 2. First of all, observe carefully the photograph. Some rectangle, square, circle, and triangles are there. With a Sketch-pen or any pen, draw them. Don’t set lot of geometric shapes; try as less as you can. 3. Now copy all of those geometric shapes on your exercise paper. 4. Draw the shapes of real photo in between the geometric shapes. No need to draw every line which is there in the real photo. Just create with simple lines. 5. Now with a black gel-pen, make it prominent and erase the pencil lines. At the end, once again a reminder. Don’t expect that you can create a very good in the first chance, if you are novice. So make a habit of practicing very hard and enjoy the taste of your own progress. We will meet again on the next Sunday. Thank you.
