Hello readers (if there are any). What a lovely day again today. I find the summer so good in that it gets me away from my pile of photographs and into the real countryside to draw and paint, and the results are so much more interesting. Apart from enjoying the weather, the occasional squashed fly - landing in the wet washes, and grass in the water pot all add to the textures of my watercolours. At the beach it is sand which can add texture to a foreground beach view, and of course the shadows don't have to be guessed, but can be copied from nature. Have you had any interesting occurrences whilst working outdoors? Julian
