My students are lovely, and also very kind, it's good to know they get so much out of the class and being with the other students who are all very supportive of each other. This is from Mary: I am a 60yr old disabled lady, and a few months ago I was talking to my son about being stuck in the house and having no life, he said 'Mum you have such a passion for animals why don't you try to draw and paint them?' Well when I finished laughing, because I am not an educated woman, I left school at 14 with never having an art class in my life, I sat and thought about it for a few days and thought what have I got to lose. I googled art classes near where I live and emailed 3 different people, Sonia was the only one to reply, and thank goodness she did. She was really friendly in her email and said I didn't need any experience I could start as a beginner. I was really nervous on the first class and thought every one would laugh at me, but I couldn't have been more wrong. All the people in the class were really friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I can't explain what these classes have done to my life, I now have a purpose every day, I draw and paint everything I see in the house to learn, I so look forward to the classes on a Wednesday to get out of the house and the company of all the others, we have a laugh, I am no longer lonely as I just love to get up in the morning now and paint some animals, a huge thank you to Sonia for enriching my life.
