New Beginnings

New Beginnings

Never thought this would happen.....

Hi, I just wanted to share how exciting the last year has been for me. I enroled on an access course studying art and design last year...it is the best thing that I could have done. I start a BA in Fine Art this September after deciding that art was the way forward for me. It wasn`t an easy decision, giving up a career and a regular income, but I have a fabulous, supportive husband.... To date I have exhibited and sold work locally and have the honour of having a canvas up in a local bistro...unbelievable. I am now eagerly awaiting the start of my degree course and very excited to have been asked to show two works of art at a high profile event that is organised by a local gallery. Thanks for reading my story.

We hope you will feel more yourself soon Patsy. We had friends over on sunday & the son on monday, also the weather stayed fine over easter & we have a lot of holiday people here at present. Our Azalia bush is in bud & will be out in a few day's will take a photo & post it on our blog for you to see, it is a lovely shade of cerise. Take care & get well soon, Betty & Max xx

Hi Max and Betty hope both of you are well and enjoying your Easter please keep showing us photos of your lovely garden really cheers me up got the flu at the moment...but on the way out now thank goodness

Thank you for the tip on of the lavateria "BARNSLEY" Sylvia will look out for it in our garden centres down here in devon. Perhap's i will have a go at painting it one day Patsy you never know!!! We did take some shoots Diana & they have taken well. We hope you all have a "HAPPY EASTER" Betty & Max

If you want to be sure you always have your lavateria just pull off a shoot with a heel and stick it in teh soil. It roots like a weed. Very very easy to propagate.

Hi Max and Betty that's one gorgeous what a lovely garden you have...my Hubby recons all bushes need a good haircut every year and he's usually right...you are showing me plants I have never heard of in UK must be lots of choice now...are you going to paint it Max?...our garden is on the wind down the only thing not dropping is the Baugainvillea and that's gorgeous at the moment but will soon be just branches...hope you are both well and Betty that your shingles have gone...it's late again as usual so goodnight and if I don't speak to you before the weekend HAPPY EASTER

Actually just realised that you had commented about cutting back you Lavetera, yes chop it right back they love it. Sadly they get woody after a while and turn up their roots and then go to the big garden in the sky. But they are so easy to grow Its worth putting in a few so then you can always have one looking amazing " Barnsley" is nice, a bit paler, but very pretty.

Love lavetera, so explosive. My magnolia is teetering on the brink of blooming.I can see that you are another insomniac Max.
