My Start in art

I was born at Stoney Stanton in Leicestershire in UK and came to Australia in 1973. I started painting whilst stationed in Woomera, the rocket research town in the north of South Australia. I didn't drink and didn't play sport so art was my choice of hobby. Since then I have persisted with my art, changing over to pastels after meeting and attending a week long workshop with John Patchett in 1992. I must be doing somethig right as people buy my work on a regular basis, some are repeat buyers. I am a member of The Australian Guild of Realist Artists, The Royal South Australian Society Of Arts, founder and past president of the Pastel Artists of South Australia. My work is in collections around the world. Web site :- www.billspastelart.com.
