I have always loved to draw and paint but I could only do it in the school holidays when I was not completely tied up with school work and my teaching responsibilities. Teaching art and design was a small part of my career teaching mainly students with SEN. I took early retirement after 35 years and began to paint again. Much of my work happens when my husband and I travel in our motorhome, photographing, sketching and painting the landscapes around us. I also enjoy painting still life at home. Oils are my favourite medium, but I also use acrylic, gouache, pen and ink, pastel and mixed media . I have painted to commission and displayed in local galleries.
