Learning to find beauty everywhere, one painting at a time
I started painting in watercolour in 2001 after seeing an episode of Frank Clarke's "Simply Painting". Up to then I believed I didn't have an artistic bone in my body. Today I can't imagine life without art.
I've tried most mediums over the years but seem to have found a home in gouache. Well, not literally in it, of course, that would be damp and uncomfortable!
As for subjects - I'll try anything, but as a city resident who grew up in the country and still wishes he could return there, I'm finding solace in painting beautiful and interesting spots hidden away in the corners of the city that most people don't even realise exist.
I'd really love to meet some other gouache painters!
