I have always loved art but uninspiring teachers at secondary school and a rebellious attitude meant I never took it seriously. I eventually stumbled upon painting by accident three years ago and even though I only get to paint a few evenings a week (I have two small children) I hope to one day be good enough to earn a reasonable living from doing it. The human figure and face is, to me, a thing of beauty regardless of sex or age. Whether my dream is ever realised or not is irrelevant - the joy painting portraits and figures gives me is enough in it's own right. As I am entirely self taught I would be grateful for any form of constructive critisism.
