Getting Back to Normal

Seem to be getting over this flu virus at last - thank goodness. Apart from feeling like death warmed up, just haven't had the strength, energy or inclination to get on with arty projects. However, am on the mend now. The remnants of the deep snow that arrived in my neck of the woods last week is now fast disappearing. Most of my dogs enjoyed scampering about in it and catching snowballs, even though they got wet through and had to have the hairdryer treatment to rid them of clumps of snow which had caught in their fur. I always think there is something magical in the way snow transforms an uninspiring scene into a mysterious, crystallised journey through which we may travel with anticipation and excitement. Familiar shapes take on new dimension and sparkle in their grotto-like depths under moonlight. I've missed these kind of winters.
