Genesis

After reading about New user, inquiring about Genesis heat dry oils on forum, I felt I had to sing the praises of this wonderful product. I have been using Genesis for approxamatly 5 to 6 years now, most of my paintings are pet potraits and the product is perfect for this, as the paint stays wet until physically dried with a heat gun, so enables the artist to blend or change colours at will. Although the initial outlay is expensive, the benefits out way the cost, there is no waste the paint comes in jars you can get to the bottom of, so nothing is left, I started with an introduction set which included basic colours, heat dry gun and liquid thinner, the colours mix well together creating new colours as with normal paints. Over time I added to this set buying a few jars at a time when I could afford them, paintings I have done have stayed fresh and true, the jars of paint last for a long time, also brushes can be left wet were you have been using them, which means the only time I clean up is after the painting is finished, I also use in conjunction with Bob ross oderless thinners with no problems at all. The only place I can purchase this product is from Jackson Art supplies on line, although a small local art shop used to stock the Introduction sets. Please don't be put of by the costs, I would be devasted if I couldn't get and use Genesis.

Hi Patsy...the clack of the keys are driving me crackers...4 hours into wearing my digital hearing aids all is very well...bummer I have some-how deleted the urban snow-scenes from the computer...I was going to use them on the Blog...Meltemi, The Memsahib & Hector all are thinking of you RE summer fires...

Nostalgia? a thing of a rose coloured youth? Brilliant was it not? It is wasted on today's bunch... I have an Auntie who is only 5 years older than me...her early adventures with the man that was part of her life until last November...involved "taking me to rock & roll concerts [in the late 50's& early 60's] "I was sort of either playing gooseberry or was on my own for a couple of hours in the concert..Little Richard, Gene Vincent, Chuck Berry, The shadows...and the "2 I's" coffee bar...Tommy Steel...I could go on and on...my music is in a 1955 - 1965 groove with some 300 CD's

Glad you are on the road to recovery Patsy. We to can remember in our younger days Simon & Garfunkel....OH HAPPY DAYS........ Love the pic of the flowers......Beautiful. Like you we love a good guitar player (Jerry Reed) & going back a bit, Hank Marvin......Like you say we had a ball in those days & it was a safe place to be. They youngsters of today don't know what they are missing!!!

Glad you are whizzing around again. Interested that you have Pink Floyd at Earls Court! Sam Brown who is part of their backing group is/ was my daughter in law. They are split now but still see her as we have two grandchildren in common. We went to the last night concert in Earls Court and got to go into the Hospitality tent at the end and met everyone.....Also while they where on their north American tour I was in N Y looking after the baby... my claim to fame, for what it is worth. Pleaased you like my flowery pics, did you see the Snow Forest one I did say I hoped that you would see it (It vanished very quickly from the gallery so you might have missed it. It is one I am entering for Patchings this year. Weather slightly better we have not had any more snow falls in this neck of the woods for 24 hours, though other parts of the country certainly have.
