Hi everyone and anyone! This is my very first time at blogging. I have been persuaded to try it by some fellow artists on this site. I have never done it before because I think I do not have much to say. I live in the UK and a long time ago studied art at college for 4 years. I did not get a living from this and retrained to work in offices (oooh how dull...) I am now in a very part time job helping people with disabilities get pleasure from painting and drawing. My own work has rather dwindled as the old paintings and drawings stacked in folders (gathering dust) under the spare bed are getting a bit overcrowded there and will soon be pushing the bed upwards! I tend to work with pen and ink and watercolour washes but now am trying to perfect working with watercolour pencils and pastels as these are easier to carry around when out and about. I love animals and as an old art tutor once told me 'draw what you love'. I only discovered this site a few weeks ago and am getting a lot of fun and encouragement from it and..... what else? Inspiration!!
