Having just been out before sunset when the sky was beautiful with such vivid colours it reminded me of a couple of recent paintings which I'd painted. They were both of the same subject and time but slightly different mainly by adjusting the tonal value of the sky. Having shown both these pictures to various friends and family it was quite suprising the comments they provoked about skies. This lead me to believe that in this country we have some of the best sunsets, be it with cloud cover for most of the time. As a landscape artist I beleive that the sky is such an important factor in the creation of any good landscape and the paintings which have a good skyline are the ones which usually provoke the greatest response from the viewer. With this in mind I have posted the two forsaid pictues (see Artofrob 3). Hope you enjoy!
