En Plein Air, Wasps, and Pollocks

I have, my painterly chums, to share with you a cautionary tale. Imagine the scene, our hero (ie me) is painting, shrek-like in the garden, slopping the paint about as usual, doing a big canvas so there's much paint on my disposable palette. My two adoring dogs watch me lazily as they munch on baked bones. I'm sure you recognise the idilic scene. All of the sudden I am harrassed by a yellow and black stripy little b****d wasp. Without thinking, sinister hand palletted, the other gripping my trusty 1" flat, I swat the wasp deftly and left handed with the heavily loaded pallette. Result: startled greyhound as canvas for my Jackson Pollockesque creation. 10 mins to catch her, 20 mins to clean up the mess.... and some explaining to do. I urge you to learn from my mistake. Do not attempt to use a loaded palette to repel insects. If only I used a heavier body acrylic - I might have got away with it. Ade PS: Shame I didn't get it on video
