I AM 67 yr old lincolnshire yellowbelly and only took up painting watercolours after i retired at the age of 63 in order to look after my wife who had suffered a brain aneurysm. A friend introduced me to oil painting and this is the media i use most . my favourite subject is portraits but i am still learning the technique to get them right . i also do lots of portraits using water soluble pencils and doing these helps me when i paint -i love derwent inktense pencils as the colours are very good. i goto watercolour classes once a week on tuesday mornings and oil class on a friday morning . i also have a yamaha psr s500 keyboard which i play regulerly and belong a club of about 15 musicians all playing keyboards.
