Christmas is here and I hope that many of us have the pleasure of setting aside some time to indulge ourselves with some well earned painting! I have collected a hundred of so sketches during the spring and summer months so will hopefully select a few to attempt a full painting of. There is nothing better to ward off the cold weather than to paint a wonderful summer scene at this time of year! Thats assuming I will be able to reach over to my palette easily enough after consuming too much turkey and xmas pud! I hope that Santa brings us lots of goodies for us to play with too! This is the first year that I have asked my family to buy something arty for me (as opposed to wooly jumpers! though they are also usefull for the cold!) It would be nice to hear what painting projects or trips people are planning for next year (if any) as I intend to break the habit of returning to the same areas each year!
