My African snail labyrinth drawn 1 year ago was edited with an increased contrast and crop. It was inspired by the complex patterning visible on the snails tail and head and I wanted to attempt to capture the magnificence of the close up patterning of the African snail characteristic patterns. These snails have a spiral shell but the labyrinth passages fitted more easily around the overall outline as used In the design. This was one of my final designs to be completed within a few days as my more recent designs such as church labyrinth took a lot longer possibly due to greater complexity or narrower passageways demanding eye breaks.
