I cannot believe nearly a year has passed already since my last blog entry. It has been a great year learning new skills. I received also a Highly Commended award from the SAA ( Society for All Artists) for my painting "In the Sea". This was for the Artist of the year 2013 competition. Beginners luck surely, since I had just started acrylic paintinga few months before. Still very encouraging.
Water Soluble Oil paints were bought next and I managed to make 6 or 7 paintings with it. A bit slow in the drying and still so difficult to paint the details I like. Acrylic paints were chosen and bought next; fantastic to use new paints rather than secon hand ones!
Lately paintings for children are my focus, I am a grandma now. Children grow up so fast in this day. I like to paint with the aim to show innocence and playfulness of children. In my gallery are now a few of these paintings shown, and more on my facebook page.
