Nicholas Coker

Biography

I have been interest in painting and drawing almost all my life, from my early scribbles, to the work I make today. After finishing school with poor grades, I found myself in retail for nearly 10 years until 2007 when I studied a BA(hons) Fine Art degree at the University of Derby. My time at university opened my eyes to the possibilities in the art world and that you can make anything if you believe in yourself and your work. I started painting in 2010 on a casual basis, but now paint alongside my fulltime job. My dream would be to literally give up my day job and paint for a living.
