Not knowing how badly damaged it was it certainly looks like acrylics have rescued it.

I like mixed media and this works well. Personally I think the best thing about watercolour is the fact that you can add so many other mediums to it. I like acrylic ink which is a great salvation to a lost cause. As I said very nice painting.

Great renovation job, lovely painting.

I think you've made a very good job of rescue. I really like your style of painting. I haven't yet mastered watercolour, I must say I prefer oil or pastel. it's so detailed and you've captured the reflections well.

This is a beautiful little village on Seil Island separated by a very narrow straight from mainland Scotland - a further island Easdale Island is separated by another very narrow channel from Ellanabeich and then there is Mull beyond that. Anywaze, it is a wonderful, bizarrely beautiful spot with slate quarries long inundated by the sea. This started off as a watercolour many tens of years ago and failed - I found it recently while clearing out some old stuff and decided to try to rescue it with acrylics . Pre-digital reference photo long since bitten the dust but somehow it worked out fairly well. All C&Cs very welcome.
